Creating a 2000i GS Symbol List from ASCII Symbol File

Someone asked this question a while ago. Here are the steps:

1. Prepare your text file of symbols, one per line; select all
lines and Ctrl-C to copy them into clipboard.
2. Open a QuoteMonitor window, click on the Symbol column heading
and then Ctrl-V to paste them into it.
3. Right click on the Symbol column heading and then pick
CustomSymbolLists | Creat a CustomSymbolList. You know what to do
here on.

The most power thing is to use custom indicator (FileAppend) to
generate the text symbol file. It remains powerful until GS
Symbol List creation via alerts is supported by
WorkspaceAssistant directly.

TS4.0 can create the now-"3rd Party Directory Symbol Lists" from
EOD scanning but 2000i has not picked this feature up yet. I
doubt there is a trick like the above to create a 3rd Party
Directory Symbol List from ASCII symbol file in 2000i.
