Hey John, you doing this review???
I prepared a number of reviews on RadarScreen 2000i for my prior employer.
One of these reviews in my opinion was, as I was told by the interim editor,
pulled at
Bill Cruz's request. As it was told to me, Mr. Cruz called the Interim
Editor on his personal cell phone with the request. If I'm wrong on this
point, maybe Mr Sweeney can correct me. The last review I did was on build
693, a CD which was
apparently Fed Exed from Mr. Cruz, supposedly with fixes to the "issues" i
mentioned in the review that was pulled. Mr. Hutson and Mr Sweeney hand
delivered the CD to my desk, along with a comment from the publisher that,
in my opinion
implied that i had to take a lot on faith. I don't think so!
The culminating event, in my opinion, which resulted in my departure from
TASC was when Mr. Hutson and I were fighting, in my opinion, over the cause
of crashes in PS2000i due to low user resources. I told Mr. Hutson that I
was not going to blame Microsoft operating systems for the problem, as I did
not know that to be a fact, and did not have the resources to defend myself
in a libel/slander action if Bill took exception to my statement. I gave
Mr. Hutson 3 options, apparently one of which he took since no individual is
taking credit for the R/S 2k review. He also took option #4 and fired me.
BTW, RadarScreen 2000i was part of what I uninstalled along with P/S 2ki. In
my opinion, they are both garbage. I've gone back to basics; the TEM
system.
Sincerely,
Stu Evens
Ex TASC staff writer

Thanks for the idea but that's what we've been doing since 1981. Those we
look at are covered in reviews. The Reader's Choice awards are from
"READERS" not from S&C staff.
