The most recent Dynastore build seems to have solved the important problems
I have had; a few unimportant problems remain. Support from the programmer
and distributor are exemplary.
Of greater concern is the Quote.com feed. Others may have different
experience, but my feed has regularly fallen behind the opening by a delay
sufficient to prevent trading, after which you are faced with a data gap. I
have reduced my universe to 51 symbols, including six futures contracts,
about fifteen stocks and the rest indices. Each day I am reducing the number
of symbols to see if the feed can handle the open.
I am using a DSL line and the 19.2 kps throughput restriction of TS 4 may be
the problem. TS2000 apparently has a greater data throughput. I have TS2000
available, still in the box, however I am trying to avoid the Hobson's
choice of TS2000 or a different feed.
