got some questions for clarification.
I should have made it clear, that I wrote about the situation in Europe.
QFeed is here in Germany (I use ISDN, of whose 64,000 b/sec QFeed
uses about 100 b/sec for ES, SP, INDU and SPX) 6 seconds faster than
DBC-satellite. DBC must uplink the data from the US to a satellite
between the US and Europe, downlink the data to England, uplink them
to a European satellite and downlink them again to their European and
Arab customers; that costs about one to two seconds.
Whereas the QFeed data come in a natural looking rhythm, the DBC
data often come bunched with larger pauses in between; that makes for
the variation of 6 to 20 seconds difference.
Tick count is according to what I see in my two Omega Servers (one
for signal, one for DynaStore) under "Edit Tick" in the "Symbol Portfolio".
In the US the difference seems to be smaller; in other words, the
Europeans get less ticks (or ticks get lost during all that
up/down/up/down-linking) then the US customers of DBC. With BMI it
may be quite different; but BMI is unavailable in Europe.
