Dear Grp,
Linux, is very stable and good to use! Still learning but a convert!!
The anti- sentiment most likely comes from self interested financial
quarters of the computer industry, much of the revenue in the industry
comes from non linux grps
hence many people are keen not to bite the hand that feeds them!
Queensland Tab uses linux and is the only TAB in Australia that has not
had a major meltdown due to operating systems. The World leading Telco
"Telstra" is using alot of linux systems as is one of the top 4 banks in
Australia. All have a vested interest in a stable
and tested versatile platform, not advertising/marketing/or upgrading
dollars!!!
