"IF" I was asked (and I was"nt) what was one of the most significant
findings I have ever made. It would address what you have just mentioned.
Rather than blurt out the answer that no one would ever try and grasp, let
alone think and research. I will simply tell you that "consistency" is the
key.."consistency" is the key! Did I mention "consistency" is the key? Do
you understand "consistency" is the key? Have I told you that "consistency"
is the key? Other motto's follow,

Go to the wall...

Never give up...

Be tenacious, unrelenting, realistic and skeptical

Never play another mans game!

Now watching ticks will break the uneducated average off floor trader.
what you see is not what you get, what you see is noise and you have no
business (unless you are trained and have a though understanding) watching
noise.

data sampling is more consistent when it is closer to the mean.

back out Bill look at a bigger picture, watch the hourly cash of a market.
understand that you can not drive a car with binoculars held up to your
eyes! be consistent, look at a 15, 30, 45, 60, minute or large tick bar on
a consistent basis. watch and learn the rhythm of the markets, observing
daily data is not the answer.

basically couple of secrets here

1.) get out above the noise

2.) ignore the short term risk - by having statistical confidence in what
your doing "overall"

3.) do not participate in a game where you have no advantage

4.) dismiss all known logic, there is no safety in mass psychology
