Excellent idea. Mark Brown could be the next Linus Torvald (sp).
Then all traders could have not only input, but the ability to modify it the way
it suits that trader best. As Mark says, he's not a developer, just a trader
that needs a tool. And he wants it to work the way he works. This is the
same for all traders as we all have different styles.
If the code were available, if a trader feels something needs to be added or
modified, he could do it or hire someone to do it (if he's good, he can afford
to). Then traders could swap code and ideas to the benefit of all. If the
serious traders did this, then Omega would start to take notice. Not only
would there be competition, but there would be customization. Something
Omega is not used to and should be deathly afraid of encountering.
Hear! Hear! for the Linux business model of trading software!
