The Y2K patch saga continues. Omega's web site advises to not install
the TS4.0 Y2K patch for portfolio Maximizer users until that patch is
available (without indicating what the consequences would be of doing
the TS4.0 patch sooner). The web site also says that "... a year 2000
compliant CD is is expected to be mailed to each registered Portfolio
Maximizer 4 customer in good payment standing prior
to July 31."
Guess what? NOW Omega says (after several attempts to get them to give
me a straight answer) that if the TS4.0 patch is applied first, the
Portfolio Maximizer patch won't be installable! And "sorry for the
delay" but the Portfolio Maximizer patch is not yet available and no
release date has been announced. That in spite of the fact that the web
site continues to give July 31 as the ship date.
"Customer service" appears to be an oxymoron at Omega.
