Re: RadarScreen Questions

First, it is REALLY worth running ProSuite, TS, OS, RS
or and any omega 2000 product on NT. NT handles these
products and computer resources much, much better (or
Win95-98 handle them much much worse, however you want
to see it). I would recommend NT to anyone who has a
computer dedicated to any type of serious-intensive
work. Win98 and 95 are fine for entretainment
purposes, net surfing, hobbies, etc.

As we have mentioned a couple of times, RS is not good
to follow all indicators. Anything that is exponential
(like XAverages, MACD, Stochasticks, ADX, etc) and
anything that needs accumulating values like
Acum-Dist, OBV, etc will give bogus results because it
executes everything on the last bar only. It does not
"walk forward" the indicators.

On the other hand, it is great to find any kind of
patters or alerts than include any method excluding
the above... I track about 1,000 symbols for all sorts
of patters, breakouts, and other conditions that I
deem relevant. I find stocks with hot news items
without reading news...

For me, the "exponential-restriction" does not affect
me since I have never been an indicator type of guy...
So I like RS but I have not been able to use it to
track 'thousands' of stocks. Again, 1,000 is more like
what I can keep track of. I group stocks by sectors of
100-200 each and have each sector on a page.
