Shay:
Your wealth of experience on the above subject motivated me
to check my information files for an organizational update.
What's interesting is that I can show you a collection of posts
that say they like ________ (fill in the blank with one of the
names in your post) and have had no problems. I think what
happens is that everything works fine until it doesn't (for some
unforseen circumstance or problem) and that costs a trader
an unnecessary loss. The search then begins anew. I can
attest to getting the shaft with my electronic eod trading so I
can see how this must really be a nightmare for intra-day
traders. Here is an information update from my files but you
will have to verify if this information is valid. Perhaps the authors
can jump in here for the benefit of all concerned.

"I concur, Earl (Adamy). The best combination of electronic order
entry (Timerhill's Interactive Broker Workstation) and a real live broker to
back you up (preferably also using the IB) that I've been able to
find in a few years of daytrading the spoo is Summit Management."

"I settled on Downing Futures, Chris Eudy. The cost for the e-mini is
good, but the service is fantastic. I get full service for the cost of a
discount desk....plus a couple of dollars. And it is worth it. Chris
is very low key and does a great job. There is no comparison to
the discount desks....(Boy I could tell you stories!)"
