My chart shows that today's "collapse" actually started at about 2:33
CST, not 15 minutes before the close as you assert. Yesterday's
"collapse" started at about 2:24 CST, again not 15 minutes before the
close. The 15 minute phenomenon that you describe looks like a
reassertion of a down trend that started about a half hour before.

I would say believe what you want about the reasons for a move (it's
really irrelevant), but trade em as you see em.

If you don't want to believe that, then believe this: It has recently
come to my attention that a certain German named "hans" who is a
sometime contributor to this list has been engineering these selloffs
as part of a complex international conspiracy involving the bund,
DMark and the S&P. I could tell you more, but hans' agents are at this
very minute closing in on this undisclosed location... <g>

Two days in a row the SP's have collapses in the final 15 minutes.
What
does that mean?  Floor traders are engineering price to an attractive
buy zone?  No one wants to go home long?  Or, is it just noise and
coincidence?
