Dual Monitor card

Just for everyone's info ( I know there have been posts on this in the
past ), a new video card just came out which frankly, is spectacular. Well,
when I say spectacular I'm referring primarily to my interest in it
supporting OpenGL as I do 3d graphics and a couple games (okay, I admitted
it).

It is the new Matrox G400 (32mg RAM).

The card supposedly exceeds even the Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (yes there are
some other TNT2 cards which are good for 3d games that are a bit faster but
the driver set by Diamond has always been stable for me) by about 30%.
Granted, that's on a optimized game and sometimes the difference isn't
perceptible.

However, it does have some other important features you may find of
interest:

Dual Head Support - The card will play a DVD (full screen) on a TV and the
normal windows desktop will remain on the computer monitor (watch a DVD
movie while working on computer - not recommended during trading hours).

Two monitors simultaneously with up to eight different configuration
options. The 2nd monitor can be a tv, analog or digital flat panel (not all
cards support a digital flat panel so I find this a plus)

The card also support a max resolution of 2048x1536 (god help us - teeny
tiny itsy bitsy print even on a 21" monitor)

Finally, it supports AGP 2x and 4x (not all motherboards support 4x - not
even sure if they are out in the market yet).

I am not affiliated with Matrox - I just own 4 computers of which two have
the older G200 Millenium which I've been very happy with. I'm upgrading one
to a Diamond Viper V770 Ultra and the other to the Matrox G400. Just
tthought someone on the list might find this beneficial.
