Last night, I went to the Omega Dog and Pony for ProSuite 2000i. Kind of a
desultory affair: quick overview with simple examples of the three Suite
modules and then one-on-one at three computer stations. I hung around
waiting for the options traders to disperse, got bored, took two delicious
chocolate chip cookies and left. Free mouse pad is the old kind, with
textured rather than smooth surface.
I came to the conclusion that Omega is pitching ProSuite to stock traders,
who are becoming numerous. There was no specific pitch of improvements over
v4.0. I didn't see any reason for a one-trick pony like myself to upgrade.
Of course, Omega will probably stop supporting v4.0 one of these days, which
will force a decision.
