MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 1999--Omega Research, Inc.
(NASDAQ:OMGA) announced the implementation of its year 2000 solutions
for customers owning the most recent shipping versions of its 16-bit
products, TradeStation 4, OptionStation 1.2, SuperCharts 4 End of Day,
SuperCharts 4 Real Time and TradeStation ProSuite 4 (the "Version 4
Products"). The current, 32-bit shipping versions of the Company's
products, TradeStation 2000i, RadarScreen 2000i, OptionStation 2000i
and Omega Research ProSuite 2000i were designed as, and are, year 2000
ready products.
Last year, the Company estimated a completion date of June 30,
1999 for its year 2000 solutions, and met that self-imposed deadline
by posting downloadable year 2000 patches for the Version 4 Products
on the Company's web site, omegaresearch.com, yesterday morning. The
Company has also mailed post-card notifications to its more than
30,000 Version 4 Products customers, informing them of the
availability of the year 2000 patches on the Company's web site, and
offering an alternative solution if the customer does not have
Internet access.
Omega Research's 2000i line of software products is compatible
with the following real-time Internet and broadcast data services:
Data Broadcasting Corporation's (NASDAQ:DBCC) Signal Online
(Internet), StockEdge Online (Internet), InSite (Internet), DBC Signal
(Broadcast) and BMI (Broadcast); Data Transmission Network
Corporation's (NASDAQ:DTLN) DTN Real Time and DTNstant (Broadcast);
and PC Quote, Inc.'s (AMEX:PQT) Hyperfeed(TM) (Internet and
Broadcast). Agreements are also in place to add, later this year, as
compatible real-time data services, FutureSource Information Systems,
Inc.'s MDS network and stand-alone datafeeds, and Standard & Poor's
ComStock's Xpressfeed(TM).
