Interesting - called Omega 3 times in the past several weeks to make sure
that they cancelled my ProSuite order and still I received the Service Pack
2 yesterday along with a nice little receipt for over 3 thousand dollars...
An honest mistake? Wonder why the sales rep never bothered to return my
messages to make sure the order was cancelled?
Well since it felt like Christmas I decided to open the box and give it a
whirl. Here's what I found in the first hour before wrapping this puppy
back up again:
1. Upgrade wizard for Version 4 users crashed in the middle of transferring
studies. No explanation or reason for death.
2. Although Options are checked, the chart status line fails to show Net or
%Change fields. Checking these fields on and off fails to display either
field (note that this occurred after a download from HISTORYBANK).
3. Installation failed to find the PC Quote feed even though it is already
installed. Probably a sign from God that I don't dare go real-time with
this product.
4. Installation created a "Dial/Data downloader" for me even though my data
provider is Telescan - have no idea how to create a "Telescan downloader" if
one even exists.
I'm going to insist that Omega give me a permanent RMA number ;-).
