Dear Comrades:
I am looking for sources of daily price data for the stock that composed
DJIA through the years. Omega Historybank claims to contain the stock
data from 1968. Could someone do me a favor: get out of Historybank
daily data for one Dow stock (let's say GE) from 1968 and send me a file
with data. I will compare the data with a good source of prices
(publication of NYSE stock prices). Then I will know: a) is it true or
not that data exist back to 1968, and b) how good is that data.
My second question: is it true that Historybank contain data for stock
that are no longer in trading?
There is no rush on that project, but I am about to keypunch data from
the printed material in the summer if I would not find a good source of
data in computer form. Hate to thing about that project.
