I've never had to put in the cusip#, but the root is the Symbol itself, for
equities, if you let me know what the symbol is I'll put it in my universe get
it collecting from DTN and then try sending you the data to import, which will
put it into your server as well.

For Futures the Root is SP for the S&P 500 futures.

For equity options the root is the same as the underlying equity for NYSE, and
AMX, and the unique root from the cboe is used for NASDAQ stocks. ABTX options
are QXQ for example, IBM options are IBM.

Hi,
I tried to set up a security.symbol..cra.......it is on the
nyse..............a spinoff of perkin-elmer........ts2000i asks for the
root and the cusip number...........I would have thought securities
traded on major exchanges would not need more than symbol, exch ,,,,all
the standard stuff of the last tradestation version........
does anyone know where I can get cusip# and root?
thanks and good trading
