I wouldn't call SPY fast as compared to SPX. Usually they
are about the same speed on BMI. I've noticed that the IB
cash is transmitted faster than the symbols on BMI. Maybe
that is your answer.

Don't know if it's the same thing but BMI broadcasts a cash
symbol, SPY,
from the CME. [no it's not the Amex SPYders] Set it up as
Index, CME,
SPY. The BMI SPX symbol is from the CBOE.
