You need to splice into the two data wires on the cable to your serial port.
A diagram that comes with your BMI documentation tells which number pins on
the connector carries the data.  Run these two wires to the same numbered
pins on another DB-9 (9 Pins) or DB-25 (25 Pins) connector.  
     
You can get the connector and wire an most electronic stores, Radio Shack,
Computer store, etc.  --OR-- Have a technician at a computer store make the
splitter for you.  Parts shouldn't cost more than $5 -- probably $10 to $20
if you have a technician make the splitter.
