I agree with most of this threads comments about Fidelity and their execution
capacity, but we may not have Fox for much longer.  The cost of designing and
maintaining a computer program which resides on each customers machine far
exceeds the cost of doing the same on time on a Web site.

I could care less about all the non-order facilities of the current edition of
Fox, and  I would be pleased to rely on the web site for any parts of that that
may be of interest.  I suppose that other traders would feel likewise.

My experience with their web based trading, even with the recent speed
improvements, leaves a lot to be desired.  The direct link to their computers
via Fox makes the web site look stupid, especially when you want to be assured
that your order was actually received and executed.

But if we don't let them know about our feelings all of  Fox will disappear in
the not to distant future, for in conversations with many of their internal
people they have clearly described that the writing is on the wall.
