BIG SPAMM for TradeWare delete if offended

Eric, TraderWare started out as a Java application and we quickly found out
that in spite of what is commonly believed Java is not as standard as one
might think. It is also not as fast or currently capable of advanced needs
like we have in the finance world. Yes it can chart and it can plot a
simple indicator and do other things like that. However Sun has totally
mismanaged Java's future and I haven't the time to nurse maid another Big
company so we moved on. I like Unix type OS systems my self having used one
for years, they never ever crash and they are powerful beyond belief. They
are extremely hard to learn and are not near as common as PC Windows.
Besides even though Unix is a great OS, even most Unix users have PC's with
Windows around for doing quick work. I find myself when put under pressure,
flying to my PC to get something out fast. To the PC credit, Win 98 and
especially NT4 is a pretty stable platform. So given that we needed a easy,
quick and stable platform that several other people other than myself may
have to run. We picked NT to build a Trading Platform on, and we named it
traducer. TraderWare came form the necessity to eliminate some hefty
(100,000.00 per year) software licensing fees that were being paid to a
proprietary software vendor for an excellent trading package. We were faced
with paying this ransom for this package or finding another one to fill the
void. We looked and high hopes on TradeLab like many others. However as
the dead line approaches for us we decided to no longer put our faith in any
more software vendors who not or would not listen to our concerns. I have
personally communicated with about every major player in the software field.
* They are all more worried about delivering what they think the mass public
wants than delivering what the professional trader needs! So out of
necessity and desperation TradeWare was born.

TraderWare is software and a internet data feed also. We decided to
eliminate many of the complaints we had with other software vendors we
needed to control the data ourselves. We found that most of our time was
spent on data and data maintenance and not doing research and trading. In
fact we were missing trades and loosing money because of bad data and
software bugs. So with no Y2k patch in site for TS4 and no TradeLab as
promised and TS2000i being a totally unusable piece of software. We got on
the ball and decided to create a program with some basic features that were
long over due.

1. being able to test multiple systems on multiple stocks or futures (a
basket) at a time. also we saw no reason that a system had to be applied to
a chart to run an optimization on it. ts will only allow one data stream to
be called at a time in a system, we have no such limit. our charting and
system optimization is independent from charting.

2. have no restrictions on how many systems and indicators you can have, ts
is still 1000. also you can apply an indicator to a stock and see the
values without applying it to a chart. we are totally chart independent,
you can apply a system or indicator to a data series without a chart.

3. have a global market scanner that any system or indicator can be applied
to much like omega's radar thing however we have no limit to the number of
items that can be scanned real time tick by tick.

4. have a data feed scrubber that seeks out and auto corrects bad data -
plans include some user input into how sensitive the settings can be. we
will send the data raw for maximum data feed speed across the internet via a
dedicated internet data feed socket. then on the client side the data will
be filtered, we are talking nanoseconds.

5. like unix platforms we plan to introduce to many of you the idea of
multiple worksheets, in unix you can have many desktops arranged all like
you want. its like having 10 computers who's screens you have arranged like
you want and then you can switch through them all, one at a time. each one
is like having a different computer. in ts a workspace and its controls or
menu's are dictated by the active chart ours is not, its all independent.

6. the entire program is made up of modules, each module is an independent
program and is independently run, however they interact with one another
when need be. This really takes advantage of multi threading processing.
just to show you how flexible we are you could run TradeLab in our
application as a plug in Active X control if it comes to market. you could
write your own program and run it in our shell, using our data feed and
interacting with our existing modules. we are a very open platform, we
believe in the freedom of you doing what you want to do if what we have
isn't perfect for you.

7. we also have online real time chat built in and on line forum's, both
public and private. you could create and specify who is in your chat room,
like you and your broker or some trading friends. you have total control
over this and we host all this on our servers as part of the program. we
have a public area which will keep you up to date on known bugs and you are
welcomed to post for all to see. we are not saying we have a perfect
program, we are saying we are totally committed to building the best program
for trading there is for a professional level trader.

8. tech support and documentation will be online and a work in progress, a
data base and search engine will provide code and examples as well as
information on how to perform various task with the program.

9. I'm tired of pecking so enough for now..mb
