THIS IS OUT OF SHEER DESPERATION SO DELETE IT IF YOU DON'T
WANT TO READ HORROR STORIES ANY MORE!
I wrote my first SPS program in 1960! So I've seen a few
systems.
I was an Omega Beta tester.
I've used the Omega products for so long I don't want to
think about it.
Primarily I develop applications and trade as a sideline.
When I received the Beta version I setup a machine just for
that application and determined that I would, "come hell or
high water", become adapted to that version.
I DO NOT EVEN RUN REALTIME -- I run Quote.com into realtime
files and periodically load these files for trading decisions.
Yesterday I gave up! I reinstalled ts4.0 onto machine with
ts2000i. I had been trying to debug a problem with one of my
latest efforts for 3 days and making no progress.
Within ONE HOUR after moving to TS4.0 I was able to find the
problem(s) and fix it. TS2000 would get into seeming infinite
loops and hang the entire machine.
I have informed Omega of this fact and will give it another
try when ServiceRelease2 arrives and then if all goes as it
has in the past I'll send it back for a refund!!!!!!
DON'T EVEN MESS WITH THIS BEAST -- UNSTABLE IS HARDLY THE
WORD. YOU SHOULD SEE HOW SCREWED UP INTERTASK COMMUNICATION
BETWEEN MODULES IS AND GLOBAL VARIABLES JUST SEEM TO DRIFT
AROUND IN VALUE.
AND RELOAD AN INTERDAY FILE AND IF YOU HAVE BARS TO RIGHT THE
SCALING GOES SCREWY.
AND AS SOMEONE NOTED, SOME OF MY INDICATORS WORK SOMETIMES
AND AT OTHER TIME THEY DON'T.
YOU CANNOT DO WHAT THIS SYSTEM DOES I GUARANTEE YOU.
