Dear Comrades:

I am using IBM 9516 LCD Color Monitor (16" screen) for a few month now.
It is run by Matrox card and has resolution up to 1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz.
There are two types of those monitors. One called simple LCD and my is
active matrix TFT. What is the difference between those types you need
to find out from computer magazines (I am challenged in that
department), but I found the big difference in display quality. TFT is
the best for charts.

I am very happy with the monitor. It display charts different than CRT
monitor. Lines are very crisp, clean, more contrasted, easy to see
intersections of the lines. Much less strain to eyes. Highly recommend
IBM brand (look at many different before choosing). Also the monitor has
3 years warranty which I upgrade for a few dollars to on site 3 years
warranty. That mean that if anything go wrong with the monitor IBM will
replace it within 4 hours from my call 7 days a week. I like that too.

Hope it helps, ready to answer more questions if there are any.

Comrade Alex.
