Antivirus software does not protect against this trojan and its variants
because of its extremely unique design as well as the fact that it changes
the Microsoft winsock the instant it is started.

:Hi David:
:
:Hm! Good question!
:
:Since I have the Norton Antivirus program, I don't even bother checking
:manually whether my computer get infected with the Happy99 virus or not. I
:simply let Norton Antivirus program check everything automatically.
:
:If you read the attached file in my earlier post, it says something about
:the virus creating "ska.exe" and "ska.dll" files. Maybe you can use
:microsoft start-find-"ska"-browse procedure to see if you have those files.
: If so, then follow the previously attached file's instruction for either
:manual or automatic removal.
:
:Please, members on the lists, if you know more about how to detect whether
:one's computer gets infected with the Happy99 virus, post some advice for
:all of us. Thanks!
