Dongle on PCI Parallel Port?

My latest failure-to-properly-research-things is the purchase of a Canon
Multipass printer/fax, which plainly states that it is incompatible with
security dongles, zip drives and the like.
I am therefore considering the purchase of a PCI parallel port. Has anyone
used the TS4.0 dongle on a PCI loaded parallel port?
