Talking about hunting buffalo, it seems every few years the U.S. military ends
up
trying out their new weapons, testing their personnel, rescue techniques, etc.
on a worthy opponent. They even get the U.S. taxpayers to pay for it outside
the regular defense budget, i.e. so-called emergency spending. Serbia with
those Mig-29's and advanced air defense system seemed perfect.
Saddam was just getting too easy - especially when he keeps turning on those
air defense radar's just long enough so they can be bombed.
(The point being - not everyone in the U.S. agrees with Klinton's tactics.)
