PS2000i & HD activity

Just curious about all the Hard Disk activity when running the PS2000i.
The sound from the HD sounds like my old 486 when it only had 8 meg ram and
win3.1.  PS2000i is installed on a 400mhz PII with 13gig drive 80% empty,
128meg ram, Win 98.  Question is what should the cache size be.  Looking at
the System resources meter for SYS, USER, GDI what amount of free space
should maintained? BMI Data Manager is being used on the satellite feed.
