What Jim told you is correct. The way to tell for certain if you have a P2 or
P3 is to watch the screen when you first turn it on. In the boot-up screen
before you get to the Windows 95 splash screen (I'm assuming you are running 95
or 98) the BIOS should report whether you have a P2 or a P3 and the speed of the
processor.
