TS release candidate 1 for BMI uses BMI's data manager, as did earlier beta
versions. For the final release version to be any different is extremely
unlikely. This means that you must have BMI's software installed to collect
data. TS's Globalserver also loads up the bmi server on startup. When you
install bmi's software, their data manager defaults to using the system
clock. There is a checkbox in the bmi software to sync the system clock to
datafeed time. You must find this setting and turn it on - it is not on by
default. TS will use whatever time stamps that the bmi software sends it
because the TS server never sees the incoming raw data from the serial port
- only what the bmi software sends to it. If you do not turn on the sync,
then whatever your system time is, that is what bmi uses and so that is
also what TS uses. So Omega's reply that their server uses the datafeed
time just like before is not necessarily correct. If you have not turned on
the sync and you change your system clock while TS is running you will see
all the quote and charting times in the program change as well. The results
of this are corrupted data. This problem was not possible in 4.0 where the
server was actually reading the raw data from the serial port.
