Anyone know of some good suppliers of fundamental economic factors such
as prime rate, discount rate, employment, M1, M2, consumer confidence,
cost of living, trade balances, company economic/reported variables in a
format readable by TS and associated with the contract name? Or, does
anyone know of programs which "data mine" this information from sources
on the Inet? Of course, the commodities are already in my data feed.
>From the postings on this list, it seems that BMI feeds are not reliable
enough. I have a friend which is writing a program using Lex and YACC to
data mine the EDGAR data base - but he is not highly motivated. (If
enough people think that this is a good idea and could make the effort
worth his time - I would pass on your requests and inspiration in
addition to my own.)
