Last time I checked TS2000 GlobalServer won't support the DDE interface used
in TS4 to access the server like in TS4. It's all COM, I believe, which
means in this case a TOTAL rewrite. I think what Dennis is talking about
goes beyond simply calling a DLL routine from Easy Language.

TS2000 runs Win32s ( NT4, 95 and 98).
When I say that I upgrade to the latest technology, I must say " if it's
worth the change", and "if some extra benefit can be expected from the
upgrade
regarding to the current use".
Obviously, the answer is yes from T4 to TS2000, at least for reseach,
programming abilities and data collection when realtime.

Yes.
My point was never to propose the TS2000 upgrade for protecting 16 bits
investment
from obsolescence.
TS4 patch will exist only for this.
However, my point is that upgrading to TS2000 has several advantages.
Maybe I'm not the ideal case, because I use 4 TS copies and can upgrade to
TS2000 whilekeeping one mahine under TS4.
That's aside, and for user that do not have specific 16 bitsDLL's that
cannot
be converted to 32 bits, the benefit of upgrading to TS2000 should be
obvious
to anyone.
