Tradestation 4.0 DLL

Last week someone on one of these lists asked for help in creating a DLL so
they could use it with Tradestation 4.0.

I've attached a zip file with an example that compiles and links with MSVC
1.52. You can use this as a template to get started.

It's too bad that you really can not use Tradestation to write a trading
system due to the inevitable "EXE to large" messages when the P-Code
interpreter tries to execute your "pride and joy". I can't even count the
hours that I've ripped apart easy code that made perfect sense logically,
then had to break it out into another system just so it could be included in
the original system. This is a severe hack.

On the plus side, I've now got all of my propriety functions, calculations
and even easy code routines that use these calculations in a DLL. It's a
simple recompile to 32 bit for me. It is also simple to use this DLL with
another product if Omega keeps dragging their feet on TS5.

I work for a software company and am also aware that there is a trade off
between releasing a product that is not "perfect" (has bugs) and watching
your market share erode away due to not releasing it. You've got to pull the
trigger and deal with it.
