Hi all,
I know this isn't TS related but since I know the group has a wide Windows
knowledge base, I'd thought that I'd post this here. I've run out of ideas.
Recently, anything I try to install slows down my computer tremendously. It
took about 45 minutes to install Netscape V4.08. Before trying an install,
everything is fine. This one has stumped me, I'm pretty computer literate
and have checked all the normal suspects. No memory problems that I know
of, etc. The machine is a P-233, 128 megs sdram, 6.4 gig HD with over 2 gig
free, running Win98. I have been running this for awhile with no problems.
The thing I can't understand is that I haven't changed anything recently.
When it does slow down, everything works, just extremely slow, like a 286.
Once the install is over, it's back to normal. During the install, nothing
happens except a HD access about every 10 seconds. Any help would be
appreciated.
