TS4 & Appian Running Better After Upgrade to Win98

Just spent 2 days adding Appian multi-monitor graphics
board and upgrading from Windows95 to 98. Figured I
would post results to the list, since I got good feedback
3 weeks ago when I asked the list if anyone had done
Windows upgrade recently.

(My system: Gateway 200Mhz w/64M RAM)

The Good News
-----------------------
1. TS4 no longer crashes when market gets busy.
2. Now able to use same PC to access internet while
both TS4 charting and server are open (TS used to
hang immediately under Windows95 when I attempted
      to log on/off net)
3. Now can run several apps while TS charting and server are
both open (EXCEL, Word, Metastock, etc)

The Bad News
---------------------
1. Metastock 6.5 has several bugs that appear under Win98:
      a) You can no longer view data by placing cursor over a
daily bar or candle (need to pop up data window).
      b) You can no longer view chart files in directory using the
'List' option after requesting <FILE><OPEN> (only
           'Detail' option works).
      c) Equis says they will release bug fixes for these 2 issues
simultaneous with Y2K fix in the coming months.
2. All the drivers for Appian's graphics card are different for
Windows98, so be sure to download them from their website
BEFORE you upgrade the operating system.
3. Finally, Hydravision drivers are NOT included with the Appian
Win98 driver - you need to download them separately. Plus,
Win98 tries to use its own multi-monitor drivers when it boots
the first time, so you need to delete/replace them manually
with Hydravision's to get full workspace control.

All in all, I'm just sorry I didn't upgrade to Win98 sooner since TS4
now works so smoothly. Only functionality I have not tested yet
is real-time price links w/EXCEL, but I assume that's better also.

Thanks to those of you who gave me feedback last month - hope
this is helpful for anyone who has not yet done upgrade.
