Dear Mr. Taylor (and other list members):
And I apologize as well, sir, as I perhaps reacted a bit more intensely than
I had intended. PMB appears to be meeting with considerable success and has
found that word of mouth on the Internet is pretty powerful. It is a nice
example of how, when a quality product is delivered at a fair price and
supported by strong customer service, people on the Internet can turn into
evangelists for the company. I enjoy seeing that sort of thing.
My objection stemmed from the fact that I like to receive messages from this
discussion group simply to keep my finger on the pulse of the trading
community, so that we know what features we should be developing--and I'm
always very, very careful not to promote XPRESSTRADE--so I just didn't care
for the self-promotion, which I considered to be inappropriate in a forum
such as this. I appreciate your quick retraction, however.
Best of luck to you, Mr. Taylor. I'm familiar with PMB and am impressed by
what you've accomplished, and here at XPRESSTRADE we share your vision and
apparently operate relatively similarly. Electronic futures brokerage is
faster, it's cheaper, and it's more accurate than conventional brokerage,
and it obviously better satisfies the needs of today's trader, which is the
reason that we're both involved so heavily in the technological revolution
that's finally sweeping this industry. This change is long overdue, and I'm
very happy that it apparently is finally beginning to gather momentum.
Sorry to jump into the group in such a temperamental way. It's not my
ususal nature, and I think I'll simply go back to passively listening to all
our your comments, concerns, opinions, etc.
Regards,
Dan O'Neil, Principal
