Investor's Business Daily has a mutual fund index that they have created
and track. They chart the index and list all of the mutual funds in the
index with their performance year to date. It is found on the "General
Market & Sectors" page (today it's A20) and also has a line showing the
strength of the index verses the SP500. Hope this is a step in the
direction you are looking for.
