SC testing program add-on

I currently use SC 4.0 and am learning how inadequate the system-testing
portion is.  What are recommended programs for system testing that allow
almost unlimited flexibility in set-up?  Are there any add-on programs
available (ie SC compatible)?  A reasonable price would be a great plus.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated?
