OFF TOPIC: ELA FILES (As Attachments)

This is the second occurence of a sender stating in the text
of their e-mail that an ELA file is attached.    I see no
'yellow paper clip' or other evidence of an attachment.
Does anyone have an answer for this oddity?   Thanks.
