i've said this all before, so i'll say it again.
forget all books, newsletters, seminars, courses, cnbc, investment
newspapers, etc. they're worse than useless, they're pollution to a
traders mind.
forget gann, astro, ew, systems, fund and tech analysis, opinions, nn,
fuzzy wuzzy, ts, tl, etc. you don't need this kind of confusion in
the beginning; maybe later if you want it.
what to do then?
if ya want to be a daytrader, then save up enough money to live on for
6-12 months, get a dtn feed / ensign charting package (low cost), and
study prices of the markets of your choice. study only, don't trade.
do it day in and day out for a year. i guarantee you that you'll have
enough ideas to play with that you'll never be dependent on others
again. once you develop a trading plan, research it, work it, and
then execute it. now you can look into the "forget its" above 'cause
you're grounded in price and have a trading plan that's exclusively
yours.
but the majority of newbies won't follow this advice. why? 'cause
most everyone is looking for shortcuts or the "lazy way to riches."
you'll never get and "stay" rich by taking shortcuts. that i can
promise you.

Yes, agree most of the market info available out there (TV info to
systems to books) is hype or useless to profitable trading.
But newbies has got to start from somewhere.
