it's obvious to me, considering omega's previous ts release history.
look at the evolution of ts4; the previous owners of 3.5 got it very
early in the game and its stability was terrible. well, with all the
bitchin (bug fixes) and subsequent builds, build 16 was stable enough
to release to the general public many months later. i think that
build 19.6 was the only build worthy of becoming an initial
installation on a trading platform.
so, you see, omega has figured out a great solution to beta testing;
you pay them to get a buggy piece of software that you (and others)
can make better (hopefully). throw in pierre's, omega man's, and
other spammers teases, and wham, bah-bah-bah goeth the sheep to ts5.
can you imagine what could/would have happened if build 1 of ts4/5
were released to the public with a 30/60 day money back guarantee?
bah-bah-bah goeth the flock back to omega, demanding their money back.
and down-down-down goeth the omega stock.
TJ
only omega research could still be a short at 2 bucks a share.
incredible

What does "...the broader release to the general public" mean after
"will initially be marketed to existing Omega Research customers"?
Could this be construed to mean that Omega will make the product
available to TS4 users only circa 10/31 and then to new customers
(i.e. "general public") 1Q 1999? Kind of ambiguous............
