Robert,

How can you call McGwire on fire when he hasn't hit a round tripper since
hitting 62 last week? At the rate the pitchers were letting him hit them
before he hit 62, he was on pace to hit close to 71. After he hit 62, he
went cold and didn't hit another until tonight. He went from 2 a game the
week before he broke the record to zilch, zip, nada afterwards. What
happened? If pitchers really were throwing their best stuff at him before
he hit 62 then he should have continued to rip the ball after he broke 61.
When you're in a groove like (2 a night) it doesn't just STOP a week before
the end of the season. And he stopped just long enough for Sosa to catch
him.

This whole HR thing seems too orchestrated for me. But it's all right.
It's good for business.

Regards,
Brian
