I don't think American companies ala Microsoft et.al. spent all those
zillions on lobbiests and bribes to get the visa quota raised to bring
Indian programmers over and pay them a cool 100K/year.  Try more like
$40-60K/year, if that.  Then there's the countless contract companies that
specialize in contractors from countries like India.  Those people make a
killing when they bring programmers from places like India, charge $55/hr
and payout $20/hr and a work visa.  Saw this at Intel more than I cared to.
