Re: Violation of Privacy

Now folks, Mr. Tim Morge and I don't see eye to eye on much (particularly on
how to deal with problems with Omega software). But I can say that I fully
support his request for his privacy to be respected.

Let us heartily debate any and all trading questions. Let us even
occasionally debate "off topic" issues and have the courtesy, when we must
debate them, to label our e-mails as <Off Topic>. But let us not carry our
debates beyond the ring of this group. We should interact with one another
within the group or, by mutual consent only, privately.

We had a saying when I was in the Corps: "What goes afloat, stays afloat."
The things which occurred when we were at sea were not brought back into
port with us. I think that a similar rule should apply here: what happens
on the list, stays on the list. We do not carry our debates outside this
ring.

I call on Mr. Kiefer to apologize to Mr. Morge for putting his name on the
Disney list. I also request that he state that he will not do this to any
other member of the list in the future. And I ask that we all agree not to
carry debates outside the list, except by mutual agreement of the parties,
at any time in the future.

All the best,

The Omega Man

Folks on the Omega List:

A gentleman on this list recently sent me some comments, some of which I'll
copy
below, regarding my posts to this list. That didn't bother me--everyone is
entitled to their opinion and when people post things that I don't like or
am
not interested in, I simply delete the post and move on. But then he sent me
an
email telling me he had added my name to a 'Disney' list: and lo and behold,
junk spam started coming, trumpeting some pyramid scheme.

One of the few things I hold sacred is the right to privacy. This list is a
small community and it's made up of many diverse members. But for the most
part,
I think people do a good job of respecting each other.

I thought about what I would do to this member of the list and though a few
wicked ideas came to mind, I instead decided to just ignore his emails, if
further come, and the junk mail I will now get spammed with because of this
gentleman. But I thought others should know what this person feels about my
posts and what he is capable of doing, if you are someone that posts what
you
feel is a relevant comment, but he personally finds off-topic.

So, Peter Kiefer...Step up if you wish and take a swing at me publicly. I
feel
the whole list should be made aware of your comments. And maybe they'll all
ask
to be put on spam lists. Here's the top of the first comment you sent me:

I'm not a prognosticator. But the pretty pictures that represent the US
stock indexs are fairly graphic. Could we rally right out of this hole and
then
find ourselves amazed at the ability of the US market to bounce back time
and
time again? Yes. But it needs to happen fairly soon.

And in his next email, Peter Kiefer [xet73@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] said:

it seems to me you are the Jerry Springer of this list -I don't care if your
wife looked at your spouse chart or that you did trade between 1 and 5000
lots a
day in the bonds -- there are 100's of people out there including me who do
that
every day - so what? Or another good one was how well you treat your
brokers
every day- I put you on the Disney
list...you certainly spend a lot of time telling everybody what you think
about
god & the world

Well, Peter, [xet73@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx], I wish you nothing but the best [and
perhaps about a hundred people that put YOUR name on a spam list]. I don't
discuss things like god on this list or any other list. I DO add what I
think
are helpful comments. And I'll continue to do so.

My one request of you, Peter, [xet73@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx], is that you add
something
helpful to the list. Anything. You can try to spam me if you want. But add
something that will help others. If you don't understand what I post, that's
ok.
I'll try to understand your relevant post when you send one.

Best,

Tim Morge
