These files are created by Internet Explorer (Netscape saves them
elsewhere).
There is a better and safer way that provides a long term solution
then deleting the files:
1. Open Internet Explorer (instructions following are for v. 4.x)
2. Press View | Internet Options.
3. Under the General Tab Click the Delete Files button (in the
Temporary Internet Files section)
4. Better yet, press Settings | Move folder... and move the folder
to another less used drive (leave folder names the same, makes
it easy to remember)
5. Drag the "Amount of disk space to use" handle to some size
that makes sense (1% of a large drive could be 78MB!)
6. Click OK | OK ...

Subject: Temporary Internet files
My windows directory has a subdirectory called Temporary Internet Files. It
seems to be filling my hard drive with .jpg, .htm, .html, .wav and other
such files. Does anyone if these can be safely deleted? Is there any
reason to save them?
