files in c:\tick\sp. (presuming these are metastock files).

If they are not metastock files, could you post the file 2 lines of each file
here, so we can see what the data looks like. Peter Ryan

thats METASTOCK format - it should work - TRY the other choices - I had it
before
- think it is - "FIRST ROW OF DATA" (or so) - it will work

Thanks All. I did try all of the above with no luck.
I have rerun the Tickdata, Inc. software to consolidate their data into a
continous contract with the same output, format selection=Omega/Tradestation
I get an error code 63 which puts me into an endless loop when I select no for
finished? Y/N. Really... Bushleague Stuff.

So, I rerun Ticksoft now asking to output into the ASCII format and it produce
a file called SP-U97.prn.

I create a new chart window-insertprice data, select the sp-u97.prn file, the
field order screen pops up and I select "first line of data file".
This works.
I get a listing of the first dozen or so lines. I am asked to verify that the
field order matches. It does match the data. I was able to see it scroll
during the assemby of the file.

Happily, I select the "done" bar only to get the next problem- a Trade
statioon message that says "invalid date".

Nowhere to go.

Any Ideas? I may just take up drinking for the rest of this 4th.
