Having meet and worked with Larry in Australia on his seminars here I have
a bias. So those with closed minds can switch off now!!
It is actually anyone who dares to generate ideas about trading that for
whatever reason - personal, psychological, financial etc does not want to
register as a CTA who is on trial at the moment.
Whether the ideas work for that person's own trading is not the question.
It is whether someone else can find that idea appropriate to their
circumstances and make money out of it. The reality is that the IDEAS
GENERATORS of the world ARE NOT usually the DOERS of the world. BUT in
Larry's case he is both an amazing generator of ideas and a doer as he
shows every so often. Because of this if Larry traded every idea he ever
had on trading in a year he would have a gazillion positions on in the same
market. Every idea that someone like Larry generates needs to be tested
thoroughly before trading it. That is what Larry does before each trade he
takes.
The fact that someone generates a trading idea and sells it does not make
them any worse than anyone else. Guys like Larry at least give us less
imaginative folk something to test and work off.
