If you can remember who made the bios( award, pheonix,ami are the big ones)
try, if you can, to get on the internet and in your search engine type
"bios" and start hunting around and you can probably find a copy of it or a
update to "flash" your current one(after removing the jumper on the mother
board, if applicable, to clear whatever remnants you have left, then
reinstalling it to accept the new bios)
The other thing to try is going to your motherboards manufacture's website
(Asus, intell, iwill,tyan) and lots of times they will list the bios and
version number of the board and download the bios from there...Actually I
would try this first as opposed to surfin' the net for a bios....If your not
sure what motherboard you've got, look at the reciepts for your
computer....BTW "flashing" a new bios is not commonplace, the one time I did
I ever had to do it, i did have to reinstall the os...
