Not only will TS have to fix the contract months, they will have to address the issue of what data formats are Y2k compatible. The only tick format supported other than ascii, is Tick Data. Tick Data is not Y2K and so there might not be a way to get historical tick Data in a format that is Y2K and is supported. Currently the only tick format that is Y2K is Gentick form Genesis Data. I would like to see this format supported as it is more compressed and faster to load than Tick Data. Omega States that there is not enough requests for this data format so they dont want to put it in TS. I know of at least 30 requests so if everyone would request it maybe Omega would have enough requests.
Thanks

Wonder if this also comes ahead of the Y2K fix. I'm noting that my CME T&S to
tick file conversions are already accumulating tick data for interest rate
futures contracts (e.g. ED, FF, etc) expiring 2000-2008. Since SC/TS will not
recognize contracts expiring beyond 1999, I assume this data is already being
lost.
