Intra Day additional Data

I am trying to find out wether it is possible to add additional days of
intra day data via third party software, I have heard along the
grapevine that Norton Commander can be used but can't find anyone to
confirm this.  Can anyone who has used third party software to add
additional days of data let me know if it is possible and which is the
best software to use or can it be done via Easy Language.
