<< Hi All:
I have some old EasyLanguage 3.0 systems and indicators on a floppy that I
need to copy to my PowerEditor. How is the best way to do this? They are in
the .asc and .tok format. I'm nervous about just copying them into the
\bifuncs directory for fear of messing up the index. Does anyone know how
to do this without the risk of ruin?
Thanks,

Do not copy any ASC or TOK files to the bifunc or Ts directory
==============================================.
You will corrupt all of your indicators and systems that are indexed by number
in the master files (*.mst) of these directories
TS4 allow to import 3.0 files and you need to do this from the power editor.
If this do not work (master file missing), you may create a new indicator from
the power editor, copy and paste from the ASC file (plain ASCII in TS3.0, so
yo may see what is inside, unless they were protected), then verify your
indicator.
If some user fuction are missing you may recreate them by the same method.
Only remember that an indicator in TS 3.0 is stored as ixxx.ASC, fxxx.ASC for
an user function and sxxx.ASC for a system.
Forget the TOK files that are compiled files generated when verifying( F3), ie
compiling the ASC file.

Pierre Orphelin
